Immersion heater repair & no-hot-water fault finding

Immersion faults can be in the element, thermostat, flex, timer, fused spur, circuit or Economy 7 switching. We test electrically before replacing the element so a supply fault is not mistaken for a cylinder fault.

Frequently asked questions

Can you replace just the thermostat?

Yes, where testing confirms the thermostat is the fault and the element/cylinder are serviceable.

Why does the RCD trip when the immersion heats?

An element can leak current to earth as it deteriorates. Insulation testing helps confirm whether the element is the cause.

Can you repair Economy 7 hot water?

Yes. We test both the off-peak electrical supply and the immersion/cylinder controls.
