Electromax and Amptec are different system types

Heatrae Sadia's Electromax combines an electric flow boiler with an integral unvented hot-water cylinder and circulation components, while Amptec products are compact electric flow boilers used as part of a separate wet heating system. That difference changes both diagnosis and replacement planning.

Electromax-specific considerations

Current Electromax products use a 180-litre unvented cylinder and are offered in domestic output versions for radiator or underfloor applications. A no-hot-water complaint can therefore sit in the cylinder, controls or electrical side even when the space-heating part is functioning.
